Math:

Formative: 0% (Exit Tickets, Sprints)

Summative: 100% (Quizzes, Middle and End of the Module Common Assessments)

 

Science and Social Studies: 

80% Summative Assessments

Testing and Re-test Policy

In ELA, students will be given “cold reads” where a student will be given an unfamiliar text and then answer questions focused on the standards covered within the unit.  At the end of the quarter a cumulative assessment will be given that will reassess the standards taught during that quarter.  If a student shows mastery of a standard on this cumulative test, we will replace the grade for that standard within the quarter. 

In Math, students will be given assessments at the end of each unit of study.  If a student does not show mastery of the standards, we will reteach in class and offer additional at home practice to help them master the standards.  Once we feel they are ready, we will offer a retest.
